Poster & Graphic Design
The
Poster & Graphic Design course will offer the folks who attend an opportunity to learn & share different poster design techniques from Woodcuts, Cut & Paste to Photoshop. In each class we will look at other artists & collectives that use these techniques to convey ideas through posters. Through-out the course participants will try out & play with each method, & eventually try adding different mediums together.
After the beginning skill share classes, folks will be asked to produce a poster for each class, & during each class all the posters will be discussed over their effectiveness of convey an idea or information.
This course will last 10 weeks, with an option at the end of creating a non-partisan, anti-authoritarian poster design collective.
All lessons are optional & your own skills are valued. If you have a skill to share in this class, then the space can be made for you to facilitate the lesson.
This Course will be held Thursdays at
University Center room 236 The Peak Office @ 5-6PM
